Cardrona UI Enhancement

Cardrona Alpine Resort, known as New Zealand’s ultimate mountain playground, attracts thousands of tourists each year due to its proximity to Queenstown and Wanaka. With such a high volume of visitors, their online presence plays a crucial role in the business’s success. However, they were experiencing significant drop-off rates during the booking process, and wanted to understand and address this issue to improve conversions.

Brink, in partnership with DataStory, was brought in to simplify and redesign the booking forms. The challenge was to create a streamlined experience that handled everything from lift passes to gear rentals, tours, and group bookings, while maintaining a clear hierarchy that kept the user journey intuitive and easy to navigate.

Given the complexity of options available for each customer, we focused on making the process as user-friendly as possible, employing conditional logic and formatting to reduce the cognitive load whilst still allowing the flexibility required for group and custom bookings.

By collaborating closely with the client, we delivered a design solution that not only aligned with the Cardrona brand but also significantly boosted user engagement. The new booking forms, when A/B tested against the old version, outperformed across every key conversion metric, leading to a more efficient booking process and higher customer satisfaction.
