Microsoft - Build: Drone Rescue Campaign
We were engaged to help Microsoft promote their AI Cognitive Services at Build (Microsoft’s premiere conference for developers in the US).
Firstly, we helped develop a concept for a competition partnering with DJI, and using a search & rescue scenario. We organised a drop in lab at the event where developers could come and code their own Custom Vision model, training it to identify stuffed toy animals. This model was then loaded onto a commercial-scale drone and flown over a soccer field containing stuffed toys. The most accurate custom vision models won their creators a DJI Mavic Pro.
We then designed and produced collateral to promote the competition, both before and during the event. Custom milk cartons depicting the ‘missing’ animals on the side were strewn about the tables at the conference, custom packaged animal crackers were given out in the Expo hall, and t-shirts and hoodies were given away to all participants. We also designed banners and signage for placement around the drop-in lab.
